It’s hard to believe how far our little-gin-brand-that-could has come since World Gin Day 2015 in our mini distillery.
But there was hardly time for reminiscing come this year's global celebration of gin, what with everything that was happening at our Healesville home. For one thing - Bloody Shiraz Gin. And for others - gin making classes, gin cocktail classes, gin pig, gin macarons, gin cheese. Gin everything!
We kicked the weekend off early with Sam’s ‘Thank Gin It’s Friday’ Cocktail Class, where he got budding home mixologists up and shaking some smashing drinks.
Then it was off to Melbourne for our 'Bartender At Large' who had a full Saturday of gin ambassadorship ahead. We hear his home-made Four Pillars braised pork jaffles at Bad Frankie were pretty damn awesome!
The education continued at the distillery Saturday morning with Cam's first Makers Class of the weekend, Eileen bubbling away behind him.
Gin tastings relocated into the distillery for the day, right in front of Wilma and Jude who were all shined up for their big day in the spotlight. Saturday was the official launch of our 2016 Bloody Shiraz Gin, and it was an absolute pleasure introducing you all to the newest member of the Four Pillars family. We’re pretty bloody proud of it!
A Bit of Jam & Pickle were plating up scones with Four Pillars Gin Marmalade, and Burn City Smokers were cooking gin pig rolls for lunch. Meanwhile there were bright green G&T Zumbarons by Adriano Zumbo circulating as visitors sipped on Bloody Jasmine cocktails and tried our new gin cheese.
And our social feed was coloured with legendary bars from all over serving up beautiful Four Pillars Gin cocktails. So thanks them, and thanks to you for your support. Whether you were partying with us at the distillery over the long weekend, hanging out with our bartender friends or whipping up your own Four Pillars drinks at home.
You rock. We're already prepping for next year.
