Melbourne loves gin. Seriously, it's a thing.
It made only complete and total utter sense that the city dedicate an entire weekend to it. And so Juniperlooza came to be this November, and we were there with bells on.
Organised by the guys of West Winds Gin, Pilgrim Bar and Riverland - this festival was a party for the gin lovers of the city. Set alongside the Yarra, Cam and Sam (and their green eggs and ham) and our mate Jez spent two lovely sunny days pouring, mixing, and talking gin.
While the other lads mixed up Melbourne Negronis for the festival goers, Cam took a handful of distiller masterclasses for
those who wanted to take a deep dive into the whimsical world of gin making.
And surrounding them were cocktails a plenty, gin cocktail sorbet (nice work Popstic Ice Cream), the aromas of great street food stalls by the guys at Bad Frankie, and some very random people on stilts.
It was a super weekend spent getting together with fellow producers, the bars we love and the gin drinkers we love to hang out with in our favourite city, just a stones throw away from home. A great industry to be a part of.
