Sam made the move from Chef de Partie at South Yarra's Botanical Hotel to bartender, thinking he would get burnt less often and actually get the chance talk to customers.

After 4 years at Melbourne’s great Black Pearl - ranked number 10 of the best bars IN THE WORLD - Sam has collected a hatful of personal bartending awards, including Australian winner of the Olmeca Altos Tahona Society 2015, 2014 winner of Bombay Sapphire’s Project Botanicals and Diageo World Class finalist.

So we were chuffed to have him onboard to help spread the gin gospel to all corners of the world starting as our first 'Bartender at Large' in 2015. After some amazing work in Australia (including bagging 2017's Brand Ambassador of the Year) he moved to Singapore in May 2018 to become our first Trade Relations Manager and Ambassador for Asia.
Sammy is one of the best known, most celebrated, loved and respected Ambassadors in the business. So today you might have the pleasure of meeting him across the Asian region during a training and mentoring session, guest bartending shift, or while he’s simply standing around pouring a lot of gin and simultaneously telling poor jokes – it’s a gift.
