The first ever live music event at Four Pillars Distillery happened in September.
We were joined by the Australian String Quartet in our distillery door for an intimate and informal performance against the backdrop of our magnificent stills.
When it comes to string quartets these guys are the real deal. This performance was part of their "In Close Quarters" series of gigs played in curious, chilled-out, non-traditional spaces rather than big concert halls in an attempt to bring intimacy back to their craft. Bringing it back to it's original format, where chamber music involved interaction, improvisation and conversation.
So what better place to do that than in a gin shed, with a delicious Negroni or two? Ironically 'Death and the Maiden' was to die for, and so were the drinks of course.
A great combo, a great experience. Looking forward to more live music in our beloved gin shed.
