We’ll say it straight up – these barrel-aged beauties were not made to be mixed with tonic. They're what we like to call 'sipping gins'.
Both Chardonnay Barrel and Sherry Cask gins should be first tried neat or on the rocks with a twist of orange to really make the most of those subtle, yet distinct flavours inflicted by the solera systems.
If you’re enjoying the Chardonnay Barrel Gin, try adding a drop of honey and a rosemary sprig. You can also mix it up into a cracking Old Fashioned or Martinez. Or try your hand at our distillery door original, the Chardonnay Barrel Sour.
Our Sherry Cask Gin also makes a delightful cocktail of the classic variety - try a Sherry-inflected Tuxedo. Or for something on the sweeter side, try your hand at our distillery original Sherry Cask Knees.
(All of this said, do try each gin with a dash of tonic or soda if you really fancy it... we’re not about to send in the cocktail police. Happy mixing and drinking!)
