Lemon myrtle is the most beautiful alternative to lemon peel when distilling gin.

The softer, sweeter lemon character is almost like a lemonade ice-pole!

An Australian botanical, lemon myrtle or
Backhousia citriodora is a relatively large flowering plant, grown in Queensland and Northern NSW.

Other common names for this botanical are sweet verbena or lemon scented verbena.

It integrates very well with the other spices without dominating any flavours, textures or aromas.
