Not much of a ‘Distillery Report’ seeing as I’m just recently back from a trip to America. But of FPG things to report from the US…
We hit the Craft Spirit Carnival in San Francisco with a few bottles of Bloody Shiraz Gin that survived the trip in my luggage (jeez, that would have been catastrophic otherwise). This was the first time America had seen it, and actually the first time many of the people at the carnival there had tried any sort of Aussie spirit.
Then we headed to New York. Pouring Ribbons was unreal. Ask for a Claude Monet made with our Navy Strength if you’re ever there. Equally brilliant was Aroqa (who make a shockingly named but delicious ‘Down Under’), the newly opened Lover Boy, and retailers Astor Wine & Spirits.
Then it was onto Boston to visit Bully Boy Distillery, take in some Red Socks games and celebrate the 4th of July. And we finished up in LA with an awesome dinner at taller-than-expected Curtis Stone’s Gwen.
