There are two main types of cardamom native to the South Asian region, and we use green cardamom (one of the most expensive spices in the world) rather than the larger, dark brown kind.

The flavour is very strong and intense, which you will know if you have ever bitten into one hidden in a curry!

Ours are grown in Guatemala and supplied as whole pods, which keeps them very fresh.

Prior to distilling we give them a very light grind just to break open the pods, and this botanical is a crucial part of the botanical blend for each of our gins. It's particularly noticeable in our Spiced Negroni Gin.
